Sal Sparace - Broadcast Consultant - Technical Director
The Croydon International Film Festival is proud to welcome Sal Sparace as one of our Patrons, bringing with him more than four decades of experience at the highest levels of international broadcasting and filmmaking.
Sal has enjoyed an outstanding career spanning over 40 years in television, building an exceptional reputation during his time at Sky, where he worked across live news, sport, documentaries and major outside broadcasts. Throughout his career, he has combined creative thinking with deep technical expertise in broadcast engineering, automation systems, vision engineering and technical management, helping to deliver some of television's most ambitious and technically demanding productions.
Following an accomplished career in broadcasting, Sal turned his attention to his lifelong passion for filmmaking. As the founder of Eight Partners Ltd, he develops original television formats, documentaries and feature film projects that combine compelling storytelling with technical innovation and cinematic excellence.
Working alongside his creative partner, Mila Walenda, Sal has written and produced three short films and is currently developing an exciting new film project. Together, they continue to create work that reflects a shared commitment to authentic storytelling, creative collaboration and pushing the boundaries of independent filmmaking.
As a Patron of the Croydon International Film Festival, Sal brings an invaluable wealth of industry knowledge, technical expertise and creative insight. His experience across both broadcast television and independent film provides an inspiring perspective for emerging filmmakers and reinforces CIFF's commitment to connecting established industry professionals with the next generation of creative talent.
We are honoured to have Sal Sparace as part of the Croydon International Film Festival family and look forward to working together to celebrate exceptional storytelling, champion creative excellence and help establish Croydon as a vibrant destination for film and culture.
