The Croydon International Film Festival (CIFF) is proud to announce that Daniel Dempster has joined the festival as an official Patron.

Daniel Dempster is an accomplished Producer, Director and Self-Shooting Producer/Director with more than a decade of experience creating compelling content for some of the UK's leading broadcasters, including BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Channel 5, MTV and Netflix.

Throughout his career, he has become known for telling powerful human stories with warmth, authenticity and sensitivity, particularly those centred on young people and communities whose voices are often underrepresented.

Working across premium factual, factual entertainment, reality television and branded content, Daniel has built a reputation as a versatile filmmaker who combines strong editorial instincts with technical expertise. As a self-shooting producer/director with editing experience, he has worked on productions ranging from The Rap Game UK and Chasing the Dream to Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars, consistently demonstrating an ability to connect with contributors and uncover stories that resonate with audiences.

His commitment to excellence has also been recognised through his contribution to the BAFTA-winning series First Dates, while his work continues to span documentaries, factual entertainment, branded campaigns and major television productions.

Recent projects have included directing documentaries exploring music, culture and social issues, as well as contributing to landmark productions celebrating Black British culture. His passion for creating meaningful content aligns perfectly with CIFF's ambition to celebrate diverse voices and create opportunities for the next generation of filmmakers.

His wealth of experience across television, documentary and factual entertainment, combined with his passion for authentic storytelling, makes him a wonderful ambassador for the vision and values of CIFF.
